It’s Saturday morning and you’ve had a LONG week to say the least. You finally have a second to move a little slower, sip on your coffee, relax in bed or on the couch, and do some light reading. Do you have a sacred place that is super comfy or allows you to try and escape the world for a little bit? Kind of like a reading nook, a bubble bath on a Friday night or your yoga mat? Unfortunately, most of the time our sacred places get inundated by external factors whether it be kids, chores, errands, or the never ending to-do lists that seem to follow us around no matter where we go.
AM I RIGHT?
Are there a handful of newsletters you actually get excited about opening that are just packed full of legitimate content that adds value to your life, provides you with things you enjoy, or seem like they are talking directly to you? I definitely have those select few that I sit on the edge of my chair waiting to receive each week.
I started The Nook with the goal of making it so much more than a newsletter. I want it to be an email community that offers a mix of exclusive content, freebies, and inspiring stories. As I’m creating content to share, I think of it as one of my sacred places. What would I want to read on a Saturday morning after a long week? What would I sit on the edge of my seat waiting to receive on a monthly basis? What content is actually going to help me or inspire me instead of making me feel like I just wasted 5 minutes of my time? What freebies would be a welcomed surprise like a little gift each month? These are the questions I ask myself as I write to you in each letter. My hope is that you get so much more out of this community than just another email you need to file or delete.
I’m so thankful that you are allowing me to create a sacred place for you inside your inbox, even if you can only escape from the world for a couple of minutes. I promise I won’t take it for granted!
